What was the technical defect?
The state government started Namo tablet scheme in the year 2017 at a cost of Rs. The students were given tablets under the scheme for two years but could not get the tablets under the scheme last year due to Corona Pandemic. Due to poor quality of tablets and problems with China, the Gujarat government started taking tablets from China so the scheme was closed for the last two years.

Under Gujarat Government’s Namo e Tablet scheme, 11000 thousand tablets are given to college and polytechnic students for 1 thousand. But while all the students have been deprived of tablets for almost two years due to technical glitches, Education Minister Jitu Waghan has made a big announcement that 50,000 tablets will be distributed soon due to technical glitches.

  • Job description: A JRF position is available on a DST-funded collaborative project between the Medical Ultrasound Engineering (MUSE) Lab, IIT Gandhinagar, and the Biomedical and Electronic (10-6 -10-9 ) Engineering Systems Laboratory, IISc Bangalore. Candidates from electrical, electronics, and computer science (EECS) backgrounds are encouraged to apply. The candidate should have relevant experience in electronic system design and embedded system programming. Ability to use circuit design software, including Altium/Eagle for PCB designing and simulation/analysis tools, such as MATLAB is preferred. Prior experience working on analog circuit design projects and using Arduino, Raspberry pi, STM, etc., will be an added advantage.
  • Eligibility:Candidates must hold a BTech Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science Engineering, or related fields, from recognized institutions/universities with good academic track record.
